What Makes This Different

This is not a school trip.

Real field study

Not a tour. Not a camp. Students conduct genuine ecological observation, maintain field journals, and produce portfolio-based coursework grounded in what they actually experienced.

Credit that means something

Ontario credits are available through WILDE School (BSID 882909). But credit is never the point — it's a byproduct of doing the work seriously.

Small groups, expert guides

Every expedition runs with experienced field educators, subject specialists, and certified expedition guides. Students are known, not managed.

Reflection as curriculum

Daily journaling, group debrief, and portfolio synthesis are built into the program. The inner journey matters as much as the outer one.

Who This Is For

Students in Grades 10 to 12 who want more.

This is for you if...

You want school to feel real

You're drawn to wild places and big questions

You learn better by doing than by sitting

You want a challenge that actually challenges you

You're ready to be uncomfortable and grow from it

This is probably not for you if...

Students looking for a relaxing vacation

Families seeking a supervised tour

Students who aren't ready for genuine challenge

Parents: These programs are designed with teenagers in mind first. We believe students should choose this — not be enrolled in it. The best expeditions happen when the student genuinely wants to be there.

Academic Credit

Every student does the learning.

WILDE School Expeditions are academic programs by design. Every student participates in the full learning model — preparation, field study, leadership, reflection, field journals, portfolio work, and final synthesis. The expedition is one shared academic experience.

Formal credit recognition may vary by student pathway, grade, province, prerequisites, and academic partner. Where available, students may register for Ontario high school credit. All arrangements are confirmed in advance.
